Touch down at Queen Alia International Airport and let Jordan begin working its magic from the first moment. Your EVA guide will meet you and transfer you to our hotel in Amman's buzzing Midtown area. After settling in, the evening begins as it means to go on - gathered around a table, sharing a traditional Levantine welcome dinner of mezze, warm bread, and the kind of conversation that sets the tone for an extraordinary week ahead.

Today we meet the first of our project partners, Umm Hamza. A pioneering woman in Jordan's agritourism sector, she invites us into her home and local workshop to experience the traditional craft of handmade soap-making using pure local olive oil and natural botanicals. Beyond the craft itself, Umm Hamza shares her deep knowledge of rural life, offering a rare and generous insight into the daily lives, challenges, and aspirations of Jordan's farming communities.

We will help out in the olive groves this afternoon at a gentle pace but the volunteering starts in earnest tomorrow.

We'll return to Amman this evening and we can start exploring the area around our hotel and choose somewhere to eat together or you are free to enjoy your own company.

As evening falls, we drive south towards the mountains, checking into our hotel in Wadi Musa ready for tomorro

Then comes the descent: from the fertile highlands of Jerash, roughly 600 metres above sea level, we drive down to the Dead Sea - 430 metres below it. Watch the landscape transform as the Great Rift Valley opens up below you. At the resort, the evening is simple and restorative: float in the mineral-rich hypersaline water, apply the world-famous therapeutic Dead Sea mud, and watch the sunset over the Judean Mountains from the infinity pool.

This morning is one of the highlights of the entire journey. We visit the Petra Women's Association - a grassroots initiative empowering local women through sustainable tourism - for a private session: a genuine exchange of stories, experiences, and ambitions between EVA travellers and local female leaders. It is a powerful, cross-cultural moment of solidarity. We also participate in hands-on artisan workshops: traditional silver smithing, embroidery, or jewellery making, all rooted in Nabataean craft traditions. Lunch is a home-cooked Jordanian spread prepared by the women of the association. In the afternoon we drive south into another world entirely - Wadi Rum. As we enter the protected area, the vast red dunes and towering sandstone massifs rise around us like something from another planet. The evening is one you won't forget: a Zarb feast, slow-cooked in an underground earth oven, served under a sky full of stars.

Our final full day begins on the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. We set sail on a private boat, the coastlines of four countries visible from the deck - Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Israel. The morning is spent snorkelling the Red Sea's coral gardens, renowned for their extraordinary biodiversity and visibility. Freshly prepared grilled fish and local salads are served on board. In the afternoon, we begin the long drive back north towards Amman, travelling the Desert Highway with the full sweep of Jordan's landscape - from the greens of the north, through the red of the desert, to the blue of the sea - still fresh in memory. We arrive back in Amman for our final farewell dinner, celebrating everything we have seen, everyone we have met, and the friendships made along the way.
